Cheryl D'Cruz

Manager

John is a father of five children, a successful businessman and has 15 years as a local councillor under his belt. He was also a Mayor of Surrey Heath. John’s vision for LMF has always been to help others less fortunate in memory of his late daughter Lisa.  He vowed that her loss must make a positive impact on those who need it in their hour of need in her memory. He continues to work in finance and holds directorships in many other businesses to this day. The work of the Foundation must carry on and this overseen by Cheryl under the watchful eye of The Founder.

Cheryl is the main point of contact at the Foundation and takes responsibility for the day to day affairs. Her career background was in Finance then sales at Canon(UK) then Tele and Field sales with Thomson Directories. She gained her fundraising experience at the Make-A-Wish Foundation which was her ultimate dream job. She now works across all areas of the business from fundraising to event planning, finding new projects to support as well as maintaining our social media presence and networking to increase awareness and of course funds.

Alan was a dear and close friend of John May’s for many years, he was also one of the first people to support John when he lost his daughter in 2004. Alan rallied the troops in the UK and helped raise the all-important first flush of funds that enabled the Foundation to become a registered charity. Alan was naturally the first official member of the Foundation. He sadly passed away in 2016, may he rest in peace.

Jane is the wife of the late Alan Cleverly. Both Alan and Jane have been loyal supporters of the foundation since it began in 2005. Jane comes to us with a wealth of hands on experience, helping Alan to successfully organise and execute many a charitable function. We could not think of a more fitting person to carry on the good work that Alan started all those years ago.
